Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Rheumatoid Arthritis Joint Pain By Holistic And Local Acupoint Therapy With Radial Shock Waves

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of the holistic and local acupoint therapy with RSW in the treatment of joint pain of rheumatoid arthritis.Methods:This study adopted rand omized controlled studying method.Totally 108 patients were collected with RA who met the inclusive criteria,and divided the minto comparison group 1 with 36 patients,comparison group 2 with 36 patients and observation group with 36 patients.Comparison group 1 was treated with MTX+Folic acid tablets + LEF,and used Diclofenac Sodium Sustained Release Tablets(just limited to that when they are aching,if the irpain is relieved,such kind of medicine’s being used will be stopped.)Based on the treatment for comparison group 1,comparison group 2 treated with pure RSWT therapy,observation group treated with holistic and local acupoint therapy with RSW therapy based on the treatment for comparison group 1.The course of treatment lasts for 3 months.To record the curative effect index like clinical symptom,signs,CRP,ESR,DAS28 score and TCM syndrome integration before and after treatment.To compare them with the statistical method and assess its clinical efficacy and safety.Results:1.108 patients with RA are Included,and 99 of them completed clinical observation,and 4 cases failed in comparison group one,3 cases failed in comparison group two,2 cases failed in observation group,so the failure rate of this study is 8.33%.2.There is statistically significant difference among the 3 groups before and after treatment in sets of CRP,ESR(p>0.05).The CRP between the three groups after treatment group compared with no statistical difference(p>0.05).The comparison group 2 and the observation groups’ ESR contrast no statistical difference after treatment(p>0.05).The observation group decreased significantly compared comparison group 1 which has a difference in statistics(p<0.05).3.There is statistically significant difference among the 3 groups before and after treatment in the number of EMS,joint swelling index,joint tenderness index and VAS pain score(p>0.05).pair wise comparison was do for the above index about the 3 groups.The index of observation group decreased significantly compared comparison group 1 and comparison group 2,which has a difference in statistics(p<0.05).4.There is statistically significant difference in DAS28 before and after treatment in the 3 groups(p<0.05),and the observation group was better than the two comparison groups after treatment(p<0.05).The standard improvement of DAS28 in the observation group was better than that of the two comparison groups(p<0.05).5.The number of Diclofenac Sustained Release tablets and the number of treatment days in the observation group were lower than those in the comparison group((p<0.05)).6.Before and after treatment of the three groups,TCM symptom scores improved(p<0.05);After treatment,the improvement of the observation group was better than that of the comparison groups(p<0.05),and the therapeutic effect of the observation group was better than that of the two comparison groups(p<0.05).7.There is no abnormalities were observed in all safety indicators.To do pair wise comparison for those groups before treatment(Omonth),during treatment(1、2months),after treatment(3 months),there is no significance in statistics(p<0.05).The pair wise comparison among them makes no significance in statistics(p<0.05).Conclusion:1.In terms of reducing the patients’ ESR,EMS,joints welling index,joint tenderness index,VAS and DAS28 score,acupoint therapy with RSW combined with western medicine is better than the pure RS WT combined with western medicine and pure western medicine treatment,can effectively alleviate activity,reduce joint pain,improve the patients quality of life,is a safe and effective treatment.2.In terms of improving patients’ joint pain,swelling,adverse joint flexion and extension,morning stiffness,joint TCM symptoms such as fever,thirst,acupoint therapy with RSW combined with western medicine is better than the pure RSWT combined with western medicine and pure western medicine treatment,and has no adverse reactions,it provides a new treatment method for RA joint pain patients,it also show the special advantages of the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine combined with modern research techniques in the treatment of diseases.
