Green walnut husks(Qinglongyi)is an immature epicarp of Manchurian Walnut(Juglans mandshurica Maxim.)and Persian walnut(Juglans regia L.).Modern medical research shows that walnut green skin has obvious antitumor biological activity.In order to find the antitumor active components of green walnut husks,we studied the chemical constituents of green walnut husks,so as to find out more chemical constituents from the green walnut husks and lay the foundation for further research and new drug development of green walnut husks,so that for better research,development and utilization of the medicinal resources.The chemical compositions of green walnut husks were studied.Nine com-pounds have been isolated from 3 kinds of organic solvent extract of walnut green husk.The 3 kinds of organic solvent extraction of walnut green husk were petroleum ether,ethyl acetate and n-butanol.Macroporous resin,Sephadex LH-20,silica gel column chromatograohy method and other modern separation technology were used.Using NMR method,the structure of these compounds were identifiedβ-sitosterol(1),dioctyl phthalate(2),4,8-dihydroxy-1-tetralone(3),juglanin B(4),quercetin(5),1,4,8-trihydroxy-3-naphthalenecarboxylic acid-1-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(6),lutelin(7),gallic acid(8),naringenin(9).Compounds(2),(4),(6)were found from green walnut husks for the first time.CCK-8 experiments revealed that juglanin B,1,4,8-trihydroxy-3-naphtha-lenecarboxylic acid,gallic acid,naringenin have antitomor effects.According to the results of A549 cells and EC-109 cells calculated the IC500 were 180.8μg/mL、142.2μg/mL、23.9μg/m L、235.8μg/mL 32.36μg/mL、97.06μg/mL、5.15μg/mL、42.54μg/mL.
