| The relationship between language and culture is very close. In the process of a second language teaching, culture teaching is as important as language teaching, culture vocabulary teaching is an important part of culture teaching. Textbook is the link between teachers and students, we take the cultural words in the glossary of "New Practical Chinese Reader" and "Boya Chinese", the two TCSL comprehensive textbooks,as examples, and make the analysis on the cultural words in the TCSL comprehensive textbooks.In the first chapter,based on the scholars’studies of the concept and classification of culture and cultural terms,I defined the concept and classification of culture and cultural terms,I also described the basic research methods;in the second chapter,I made statistics on the culture words of the glossary in the textbooks,and made a classification and contrast on them.I found that the number of words are in a similar situation in the two textbooks at different stages, but in the classification, "Boya Chinese" pays more attention to teaching idioms, and "New Practical Chinese Reader" focus on average categories;in the third chapter,I made statistics on the recurrence of the cultural words in the glossary, texts and practice in the two sets of textbooks,I found the rate of the recurrence of the cultural words in the glossary of both the two sets of textbooks is rather low,and in the textbooks and practice,the rate of the recurrence become higher. In the fourth chapter, I classified and analyzed the definitions of the cultural words in the two sets of textbooks, and analyzed some controversial definition cases; in the fifth chapter, based on the different situations,I analyzed the practice of the two sets of the textbooks.I found that "Boya Chinese"foucus more on the practice of the idioms; in the sixth chapter, based on the analysis of the two sets of textbooks,I made some suggestions on the writing of textbooks.The study on cultural words is important to the writing of the textbooks and vocabulary teaching and learning.On the writing of the textbooks, to evaluate a textbook,we should focus not only on the number of the cultural words,but also on the depth of the cultural words. On the vocabulary teaching and learning, appropriate recurrence, definition and practice can not only help teachers improve teaching efficiency, but also makes it easy to preview and review for learners to enhance language learning interest and confidence. |
