A Study On Su Shi’s Poetry In Korean Poetics

Poetic creation and writing of poetry talks in Korea are deeply influenced by Chinese poets. Su Shi was an outstanding litterateur, literary theorist, painter and calligrapher in Chinese history. His poetical works are not only loved by the Chinese people, but also were introduced to Korea in early Goryeo Dynasty and greatly respected by the scholars at that time. It is easy to find through documents and information of Korean poetry talks that Korean poets either highly praised his heroic personality and excellent talent, or carried out interpretation and annotation of his poems to restore Su Shi in their own minds through different ways and approaches.There are three chapters except introduction and conclusion in this paper, including discussion from aspects of comment on Su Shi and his poems, paraphrasing, corrigendum and correction of notes in Korean poetry talks, as well as textual research on origin and development of Su Shi’s poems.The overall evaluation of Korean poets on Su’s poems was mainly discussed in Chapter One.Through the study on reviews of personality charm and poetry achievements of Su Shi and comparisons of poems of Su Shi and other person in Korean poetry talks, combining with relevant points of view in ancient Chinese poetry talks, the features of research on Su’s poems in Korean poetry talks are studied thoroughly in this paper.The second chapter mainly discussed the specific researches on Su Shi’s poems in Korean poetry talks. Along with the discussion of Chinese poets, ideas from Korean poetry talks were reviewed by interpretation and errata of Su Shi’s poems in Korean poetry talks, analysis of verse and study on methods of writing poems, as well as investigation on the inheritance of Su Shi in the talks, showing similarities and differences in views between Korean and Chinese notes on classical poetry.The tendency of poets’comments on Su Shi under the background of "dispute of poetry in Tang and Song dynasty" in the Korean poetry talks was discussed in the third chapter, combined with views of Chinese poets to explore the writer’s inheritance or development from the Chinese poems, so as to restore the features of the reviews on Su Shi in Korean poetry talks on this basis.The conclusion part mainly reviewed the discussion of the first three chapters, discussed the pros and cons of this paper, the innovative points and research value of this paper were also summarized in this part.
