| Chinese teaching has always been a major difficulty in Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language. Nowadays, with the spread of Chinese characters no longer confined to the teaching of Chinese characters themselves, some scholars combine Chinese characters study with Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language gradually, which makes great contribution to Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language. Chinese characters themselves include a lot, such as pronunciation, original meaning and units. It’s helpful to systematically master characters for students that categorization and trace of one certain characters in order to pass on to them. Taking examples of characters with component “you” from The Outline of Chinese Vocabulary and Chinese Character Level, this paper traces origins of those characters and discuss various teaching approaches under different circumstances in order to improve the efficiency of Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language and relieve the burden of memory.Teaching strategies have their own merits and drawbacks, which affect the results and efficiency of teaching all the time. We should pay attention to those merits and drawbacks and adopt appropriate teaching strategy in accordance with actual curriculum. At the same time, we should emphasize the combination of various strategies and avoid disadvantages of teaching strategy in order to help students study character efficiently.It’s complicated to find out the origin of characters with component “you”, mainly from ancient component “you” and symbolization of comparatively complicated component characters. Calculating and categorizing characters with component “you” in The Outline, this paper respectively analyzes and trace back in accordance with component form level(first-level component, second-level component) or character component(pictograph, ideograph, phonogram), and design teaching plans of Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language in category. |
