Death is closely related to each one of us,and the birth and development of death issues have been associated with human history. In philosophy, the study on death issues equals to the study of life, for death is an inherent nature of life. The study on death issues put emphasis on choosing a better way of life from the understanding of death, the infinite possibilities of life and gaining unlimited values in our limited life.In this sense, death is the ultimate care for the significance of human beings’ own survival. Our understandings and attitude of death can be interpreted from different perspectives, including daily experience, religion, science, philosophy and so on.Starting from everyday experience,we will find that the understanding and fear of on the inevitability of death ordinary people will be further deepened after experiencing the death of others, therefore,in our habits we often take a “sheltered” attitude towards death through the "destruction" of everyday life.Religion is based on the fear of death, which smoothes people’s hearts through faith and makes individuals go beyond persistence of life and fear on death, however, religion in the final analysis is a vision of a better life.Scientists analyzes death from a rational perspective, and death is regarded as the destruction of the eternal, such purely rational understanding will inevitably lead to the human spirit refuge. The key of philosophers’ thinking on death is to interpret the life through death, and the understandings on death of different philosophers and philosophical schools actually represents their attitude towards life.Historically, philosophers have explored the issue of death from different perspectives, which provides important ideological enlightenment for us to ponder over life.Based on practice,Marxist Philosophy has realized the transcendence over the past views on death through the transformation of the human nature view and philosophical view.
