In recent years, with the progress and development of social civilization, people have more and more leisure time. The increasing leisure time makes people highly demand for places for leisure and entertainment. Thus, to satisfy the growing demand for leisure and entertainment, numerous architectures of leisure and entertainment quietly appear in urban and rural areas of our country. Therefore, the translation of Leisure and Entertainment Architecture Design plays an important role, not only to the translation itself, and the translation studies of textbooks under the guidance of the skopos theory, but also the timely reflection of the new trend of domestic ways of leisure and the development of building types. Meanwhile, under the major background of the unprecedented active events of international architectural culture exchange, the translation of domestic leisure and entertainment architectures also meets the demands of times and social development. The contents of this translation practice report excerpt from one of the guide books of architecture design—Leisure & Entertainment Architecture Design(second edition). The book was published in 2011 by the China Building Industry Press, and mainly researched on the urban public leisure and entertainment buildings, a total of seven chapters. The report is excerpted from its seventh chapter, which is Franchised Entertainment Facilities and Sports and Entertainment Facilities, including the spatial composition and environmental design of karaoke dance halls, fitness(bodybuilding) club and bowling alley. In addition, it also describes the key points and characteristics of design of water parks and indoor dabbling parks, golf clubs and tennis clubs. The report is divided into four parts. The first part is the task description of translation, which mainly introduces the background and nature of the task. The second part is the description of the translation process, including the preparation, process of the translation and items after the translation. The third part is likewise the core part of this report, namely the analysis of the translation cases. It first introduces the theoretical guidance of this report——the Skopos Theory. Then it tells the translation methods under the skopos theory, including the literal translation, the liberal translation and synthetic method. And at last, it describes the typical problems appeared in translation practice, such as the translation of the specialized terminology and the long and difficult sentences. Then the fourth part is the summary of the translation practice, which summarizes the unresolved problems in translation and discusses the enlightenment for future translation. This report is a translation practice of architecture and design industry, thus before translating this kind of text, besides accumulating extensive knowledge in all aspects, we are required to correct our attitude and make full preparations.
