The German Romanticism, rose in the late 18 th, is a cultural movement involving philosophy, religion, sociology, history, arts and other fields. It criticized and rethought the abstract reason since the French Enlightenment, and then brought a new way of thinking. The German Romanticism is generally divided into Early Romanticism, Mid and Late Romanticism. The Early Romanticism is the first stage, and it's most important founder is F·Schlegel. F·Schlegel is a famous theorist and writer in the history of western literature, and he is also the spiritual leader and the ideological mentor of Early German Romanticism. In 1797, he established the journal "Athenaeum" that became the core of the magazine of Early Romanticism. Under the leadership of F·Schlegel, the Romanticism was finally established in 1799. At the same time, for this new school, F·Schlegel's pioneering role is also reflected in theory exploration. On the one hand, it was F·Schlegel who opened the connotation of "romantic", and selected the "romantish" as aesthetics and philosophy of Romanticism. On the other hand, from the worship of Greek culture, F·Schlegel turned to romantic poetry, and extended it to every aspect of literature and art. By combining with philosophy, he finally put forward a ideal life of romantic poetic, developed a theoretical program for the Early Romanticism. Thus, under the influence of F·Schlegel, the other members of Early Romanticism uses their own characteristics to perform the school's thought. They not only advocate art to highlight the dominant of people, equates value of human sensibility with rational value, but also proposed a idea that life should transformed directly to poetry. Moreover, this poetic pursuit of a better life in the Early Romanticism also has a distinct national consciousness. The Early German Romanticism, initiated by F·Schlegel, has a great significance on the late German Romanticism. And it's basic ideas and principles is still inherited and developed by the followers Heidelberg Romanticism, Berlin Romanticism andSwabia Romanticism.
