Gratitude and learning engagement belong to the category of positive psychology.Gratitude as a positive personality trait and positive emotional experience can broaden the perception and promote learning engagement. First,the questionnaire was conducted on 573 students from three junior middle schools in Jiangxi provinceto survey the current characteristics of gratitude and learning engagement. Then,explore the relation between gratitude and learning engagement.At last,we choose junior two students who have lower gratitude and learning engagement levels and divide the subjects into experimental group and comparing group by autonomous choice. We choose the group counseling to investigate gratitudehow to influence learning engagement.The resultsare as followings:(1)On a whole,The junior high school students have higher gratitude.The score of participants in each dimension from high to low is thing gratitude,moral gratitude and character gratitude.(2)The gratitude in the gender has no significant difference.but the gratitude has significant difference in different grade. The learning engagement in Grade Seven is highest the students in Grade Eight is lowest.(3)The learning engagement in the gender has nosignificant difference.but the learning engagement has significant difference in different grade.(4)There was significant relationship between gratitude and learning engagement.(5)The intervention measures in this study are useful.The gratitude of the experimental group subjects is improved in dedication and absorption.
