The Study On Ralationships Of College Students' Personal Traits,Hope And The Sense Of Life Meaning

With the development of social economy and the improvement of people's living standard, people chase material possessions unceasingly, but many of them attach importance to individual's inner world. In the blundering society,a lot of people ask themselves:What's my value of existence? What's my life goal and the meaning of life? How can I ac hieve my aim and the desired outcome? College students is in the midst of tra nsformation during their life, so their mental health status should be drawn more social attention. This study belongs to positive psychology research area, it can abundant the sense of life meaning and hope empirical study.This study use NEO-FFI, The meaning in life questionnaire—Chinese version(C-MLQ), Adult dispositional hope scale(ADHS) to explore the relationship between personality traits,hope and the sense of life meaning for 493 college students. The research results are shown as follows:(1) There is a si gnificant difference between the one-child group and the multi-child group on the degree of agency thoughts and the sense of life meaning. Statistical differences exist in grade on college students' hope and agency thoughts. S tatistical differences exist in exam ination results on on coll ege students' hope and the sense of life meaning.(2) There is a significant difference between college students' big-five personal specialties, hope and the sense of life meaning.(3) Hope have a partial intermediary effect on the relation between conscientiousness and the sense of life meaning, between openness to experience and the sense of life meaning, between extraversion and the sense of life meaning.
