| Internet game addiction is one of the most common psychological problems among college students.College students with a low level of life meaning have a sense of confusion about life,and may escape this feeling through online games,so that their normal life and physical and mental health are affected.However,in order to meet their self-esteem needs,individuals are in a state of low self-esteem may choose online games.Online games have become an ideal place for those with low self-esteem to escape from reality and get what they want in their hearts.Previous studies have focused on the relationship between some of variables,based on the phenomenon of interventions also lack a new perspective.Therefore,this study aims to explore the relationship among internet game addiction,self-esteem and sense of life meaning of college students,and the effect of motivational interviewing group intervention.In study 1,988 valid data were collected through online questionnaires,and investigated the relationship between internet game addiction,self-esteem and sense of life meaning of college students by analyzing the collected data.After analysis,the results showed that(1)The sense of life meaning of college students were significantly positively correlated with self-esteem,significantly negatively correlated with internet game addiction,self-esteem and internet game addiction were significantly negatively correlated.(2)The sense of life meaning played partial role in mediation between self-esteem and internet game addiction.In Study 2,based on the theory of motivational interviewing,group counseling was designed to improve the sense of life meaning,and the intervention study was carried out in the experimental group.The subjects were randomly divided into the experimental group(12 subjects)and the control group(12 subjects).After intervention,the meaning of life of college students in the experimental group was significantly improved compared with the control group,and the degree of internet game addition was significantly improved compared with the control group.This study draws the following conclusions:(1)The sense of life meaning of college students were significantly positively correlated with self-esteem,significantly negatively correlated with internet game addiction,self-esteem and internet game addiction were significantly negatively correlated.(2)The sense of life meaning played partial role in mediation between self-esteem and internet game addiction.(3)Motivational interviewing group can effectively improve the sense of life meaning of college students,thus lower the internet game addiction level. |
