Research On The Development Of Fujian Film Industry

The film industry in Fujian Province has experienced the glory of 1980s and its decline in more than 20 years.But in recent years,the film industry in Fujian Province has taken the pace of reform,and there has been a great change and development in film production,distribution and promotion.It has made considerable achievements,while at the same time produced several new obstacles to deter further development.This paper mainly takes the Fujian’s film industry as the research object since the Chinese film market reform,surveys the history and present situation of the film industry in Fujian,analyzes its current development problems existing in the development,and puts forward some strategies and suggestions from the perspective of vertical integration of industry chain to speed up the development of the film industry in Fujian.At first,the paper introduces the research background and the research significance of the film industry in Fujian,reviews the related research in recent years,and the overall frame structure.Then the paper provides an overview of the development course and the present situation of Fujian film industry,as well as the overall evaluation of the film industry in Fujian.On the basis of the above analysis,according to the theory of industry chain,film industry in Fujian Province is divided into three sectors,such as production,distribution and derivative market.Finally,the paper summaries the analysis of all sectors of the industry chain,and attempts to put forward the sustained and rapid development strategies of film industry in Fujian Province.The paper built a foundation on the theory of industrial chain,to fully analyze the Fujian film industry,and clarify the current status of the links among the chains of film industry in Fujian.This approach will help to overcome the limitations of the isolated analysis of single chain,and to get a comprehensive analysis of the limits existing in the development of film industry in Fujian and improvement ideas.The research conclusions find that the film industry in Fujian Province should reform from the perspective of industry chain and vertical integration of resources to effectively reduce the cost of film production,and improve efficiency and economies of scale;Various financial institutions should support innovation and introduction of new financial products and services,actively explore the establishment of investment mechanism of the film and television industry,encourage crowd funding;should actively explore the ways to authorize the after-film derivative products development;should fully strengthen the cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan film industries and improve the cooperation and exchange mechanism between Fujian and Taiwan film industries,encourage the introduction of new policy to allow Taiwan businessmen to invest in the construction of the theater in Fujian,and promote the all-round development of cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan Television Industry;should fully use the Silk Road Film Festival to promote communication,and promote film and cultural exchanges and cooperation among countries and regions along the Silk Road.
