Exercises are extremely important for students learning Chinese, because the acquisition relies on the exercises, not the teaching. In a previous study, there is not much achievement about specific exercises. That is why this paper choose the grammar Exercises of Erya Chinese: Intermediate Chinese Comprehensive Course for the research. The research has started with the grammar items and the quantity, type, content of exercises. It is aimed to accomplish an in-depth investigation.In the first part, we choose International Curriculum For Chinese Language Education as a standard to get more information about the settings of grammar items. In the second part, we count the quantity of grammar exercises and try to find out the relationship between the quantity, complexity of grammar items and it. In the third part, we count the type of grammar exercises, and then calculate the percentage of each sort of exercises. In the fourth part, we find the repeating parts of the grammar items and the content of exercises. In addition, we count the exercises that practice more than one grammar item. According to a great number of statistical data, we find out some deficiencies. In the end, we put forward our proposals.
