Bellini Vincenzo(1835- 1801) was a romantic opera composer in Italy, in the early nineteenth Century.He had achievements in the symphony, music and art songs, but opera creation achievement was the most particularly prominent which included 11 operas. < The Puritans > was the last opera, which was created by Bellini before his death, was also one of Bellini’s operas, reflecting the style of Bellini’s opera. Although opera < The Puritans > not Bellini most classic works, but it invincible wonderful concert make this work to stand in Bellini’s Opera and become the classically traditional opera,with a high performing and teaching value.This paper will be divided into three parts. The first part, overview of Bellini’s life and achievement in opera, to the Bellini’s Opera concept and the creation of the opera style is expounded; the second part, from angle of detail, melody of summing up and analyzing the characteristics of Bellini’s Opera melodies; the third part, by combining the front two parts of the paper, discusses < The Puritans > Elvira’s first two aria singing requirements, to grasp the aria offers certain reference.
