The ancient Yecheng is located in the north China plain and the lower reaches of the Yellow River interchange. The 3 ~ 6 century a.d., Yecheng served as in Wei and HouZhao, Ran Wei, Former Yan, Eastern Wei, Northern Qi ancient capital,became the Chinese political, military, economic and cultural center in the north.Because of these factors, Ye has become after the Chang’an and Luoyang Buddhist Center,rulers need to consolidate its dominant position,the monks by active dissemination of Buddhism.the translation of Buddhist classics actively spread the Buddhism,the followers of association read the Sutra, built temples, respect the Statues.for a while, Yecheng temples and Buddhist disciples many.We can detect from Yecheng unearthed statue Yecheng area popular religion.First,through summarizing the evolution of Yecheng statues, figure out the change of Yecheng people enshrined in the object;Second, through analyzing the summary of the characteristics of the statues, statues of Yecheng area evolvement;Third, through the epigraph of figure to wish end-result Yecheng area.All in all, residents in Yecheng belief reflects the conflict of the frequent public religion as a means of relief.Yecheng area during the period of the Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties Buddhism spread research, Yecheng area can be analyzed the period of the Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties propagation characteristics and the influence of Buddhism, for us to study China’s doctrines, Hebei doctrines provides a new case,enriching the content of doctrines.
