With the second generation of cognitive science- experience the vigorous development of cognitive(embodied cognition), the embodied cognition of conceptual thinking in the field of view is also growing, this view is used to explain the concept of information processing, in conceptual thinking and information processing process, people's perceptual experience plays a very important role, the body drives cognitive development and affect people's social cognition and processing. Also in the field of time perception, embodied cognition has a proper theoretical explanation. Temperature is a sensory experience plays the most important role in embodied cognition, which is closely related to human life, experience the temperature has been confirmed can have an impact on time perception, but not a single hot or cold temperature experience impact on time perception, the temperature suitability is another important variable. Therefore, this study from the perspective of temperature experience, through the study of the impact of different temperature experience on time perception, but also to further verify the rationality of the theory of embodied cognition. The study included two experiments, the experiment 1 investigated the effect of different temperature embodied cognition on time perception, and the influence of the suitability of the 2 on the time perception. The independent variables of the experiment were the presentation time of vocabulary and the types of words. The experiment was required to make a key response to the word near the standard long time(1200ms) or standard short time(400ms).The dependent variables were the proportion of the total judgment of the subjects' presentation time.Experimental results: in Experiment 1,the results found that the cold temperature vocabulary presentation time make long judgment accounted for the proportion of the total judgment was significantly lower than that of heat temperature vocabulary presentation time to make long judgment accounted for the proportion of total judgment at 800 ms intervals; and cold temperature vocabulary presentation time make long judgment accounted for the proportion of the total judgment was significantly higher than that of the neutral vocabulary presentation time to make long judgment accounted for the proportion of total judgment at 1200 ms intervals. The results of Experiment 2 found on words that unsuitable temperature vocabulary had time to make long judgment accounted for the proportion of the total judgment was significantly higher than that of the neutral vocabulary presentation time to make long judgment accounted for the proportion of total judgment and suitable temperature vocabulary presentation time to make judgment accounted for the proportion of total judgment, between the neutral vocabulary presentation time to make long temperature judgment of total judgment and the proportion of suitable vocabulary presentation time to make long temperature differences in the proportion of the total judgment was significant, suitable temperature level vocabulary presentation time was judged as long was higher proportion than neutral vocabulary level, subjects was judged to be long the proportion in the three temperature levels on the Weber fraction have significant difference, further “t”test showed that the difference was significant between the unsuitable temperature and the neutral vocabulary level, the unsuitable temperature's Weber fraction is higher than the neutral vocabulary level and the suitable temperature.Experimental conclusions:(1)The suitability of temperature was the main factor that influenced the time perception. The time sensitivity of different suitability level was different, the time sensitivity of the temperature level was greater than the appropriate temperature level, that was, the more inappropriate temperature experience, the greater the time sensitivity.(2)The individual in the process of representation of word concept existed mental simulation, mental simulation influenced the internal clock rate, on subjective distance to determine the impact, further in time perception to verify the embodied cognition theory to explain the rationality.
