Curiosity,as the main content of intrinsic learning motivation, has attracted many eyeball sights into fields of education and psychology.Curiosity drives many of our daily pursuits and interactions.During individual growth,it is closely related to the healthy development, learning and creativity. The researches done previously have also supported that the curiosity motivates learning behavior directed towards the acquisition of new information. However,in educate fulfillment, this effect is often not so ideal. This issue, attracting wide attention of researchers, caused the exploration of the internal mechanism. What are the factors that influence the effect of curiosity on academic performance.Based on the theory of information expectation, this study aims to explore the effect of curiosity, feedback and satisfaction on memory task performance. In this study,228 primary school students from Jiaxing are selected as the research objects. The whole research is divided into three parts. In Experiment 1,participants answered obscure trivia questions, and before receiving the answer, they rated their curiosity to know the answer. The answer was then provided immediately. In Experiment 2,all programs were replicated, except for the feedback time.In Experiment3,we tried to verify the influence of curiosity and satisfaction on the memory task performance.Key findings are listed as following:1.In the immediate feedback condition, the curiosity did not significantly affect children's academic task performance.Memory self-efficacy dramatically affects children‘s academic task performance. But there was no interactive effect between them.2.Controlling the delay-of-feedback time for 4s,both the curiosity and the Memory self-efficacy dramatically affect children's academic task performance. The remarkable interactive effects were seen between the curiosity and memory selfefficacy.3.Logistic regression analysis indicated that there was remarkable interaction between the curiosity and the satisfaction. These results indicate in which conditions curiosity could promote learning. It may have important implications for teaching and instruction.
