Study On The Influence Factors And Solutions Of The Trumpet Intonation Accuracy

Brass instrument is an instrument which combines over-blowing natural harmonics and piston system.It is different from stringed instrument which has a tuning system of pythagorean tuning and western woodwind instruments which has a tuning system of twelve-tone equal temperament in terms of vocal principles.Since the brass instrument appears in orchestra and plays more and more important position,its intonation accuracy has become one of critical issues in the course of its development.There is obvious inaccuracy of several sound components in respect to the trumpet.This situation will become more serious when it comes to different tonality.Because it’s not easy to change the pure intonation,more complex tonality or chord is a challenge for trumpet intonation in the course of orchestral or brass consort.Secondly,due to calibration of nozzle of brass instrument,intonation deviation occurs when the mute is used.Thirdly,as the brass instruments are sensitive to.temperature,a rising note happens to the actual playing...Currently,a majority of domestic researches start from the players themselves and overcome intonation problem from breath,degree of lip-rounding,muscular endurance,etc.However,as for whether the note played is "accurate",it is only subject to subjective inner sense of hearing of the player itself,instead of objective analysis of this problem.This paper attempts to start from vocal principles of brass instruments and theoretically analyze the subjective and objective factors to influence the trumpet intonation accuracy and find out the solutions,making contributions to deeper understanding of trumpet players for trumpet intonation.
