If yes, what about the changes?(3)What are else factors that affect the results of used strategies? The survey answers the first question, the survey, class observation and interview are supposed to answer the second question, the class observation and interview answer the third question. This thesis is divided in five parts. The first part claims the topic basis and research necessity. The second part introduces major theories of motivation and the situation of motivation researching at home and abroad. The third part explains the design of research. The fourth part reveals the results and discussion. The fifth part discusses the findings and enlightenments. There are three major findings after the survey, observation and interview of the students in some artistic vocational school.Firstly, the pre-semester motivation survey results shows the students' intrinsic motivation level with the mean of 9.521 is weaker than the extrinsic motivation of 20.97.Secondly,Model ARCS is an effective means to stimulate students' learning motivation in the one-semester practice. The post-semester survey indicates students' intrinsic motivation is increased.Compared with the former survey, the needs of friendship and interest are more obviously increased among the five intrinsic motivation categories.Itis ensured in class observation that students become more active, cooperative and autonomous.Lastly, the study discusses some other factors which could affect students' motivation such as emotional intelligence, school atmosphere and family background by the interview data. The study offers suggestions on more creative teaching in vocational English class.
