<The Ancient Treasure Case> is undoubtedly a literature encyclopedic compilation for Ryukyu.As one of the three major historical books of Ryukyu,<The Ancient Treasure Case> contains many Intercourse documents about Ryukyu Kingdom correspondenced with East Asian countries from 15 century to 19 century,which is a rare first-hand data,and plays an important role in the study of the history of foreign relations in Ryukyu.This paper intends to revise the modeled by Taiwan University and Japan Okinawa County Library photocopy room historiography,through the way of quoting the related literature,to have a comb and spy on the origin, document types, and literature value of the <The Ancient Treasure Case>, and to have a further explore on value and significance of the problems in the study of the history of the Ryukyu,thus to play a preliminary role for further research work.
