Yan Fu is China’s Modern Enlightenment scholars, a famous translator. His life as a patriotic salvation mission, translated and introduced to "Tianyanlun"as the representative of the many famous works of Western thought. He made a great contribution to the Chinese enlightenment, and devoted himself to his whole life. It is worth noting that his enlightenment not only stay at the political level, but also on all aspects of Chinese society have had a positive and far-reaching impact. Especially in the aspect of history, he promoted the fundamental transformation of Chinese historiography in the early twentieth Century, and promoted the transformation of the paradigm of Chinese historiography in the early twentieth Century. At the same time, it also promoted the emergence and transformation of Chinese new historians in the early twentieth Century. Yan Fu not only depicts the blueprint for the development of Chinese historiography, but also laid a solid foundation for the spread of Marx’s historiography in China. His contribution to the development of Chinese historiography is obvious to all.
