Liszt's three Petrarchan Sonnets are the perfect crystallization of music and literature,moreover they are also a typical representative poetic piano music works.This paper takes the three works as the study objective,and carries out an investigation on their poetic art and interpretation characteristics.The thesis consists of three chapters.The first chapter is the introduction of Liszt's life and his creative style.The second chapter respectively studies the three Petrarchan Sonnets from the perspective of poetic structure,poetic emotional catharsis,poetry rhythm,aimed to better understand the poetic art characteristics of the works through the comprehensive combination of works and poetry.The third chapter is a study on the interpretation of the three works,and it can be divided into two parts: through refining form the spectrum examples,the first part lists the playing technical difficulties need to be solved;through the comparison among the different playing versions from different pianists,the second part aims to enable numerous piano players to further comprehend and grasp the playing technique,simultaneously enhance their playing skill and gain enlightenment.In short,this article analyzes the three works from two aspects,namely,theoretical content and practice playing,meanwhile gaining inspiration form it.The process of studying and playing any work is reading,understanding,listening,playing it.
