With China entering WTO and the rapid development of the global economy, the business exchanges between countries have become more and more frequent. The business negotiation has been the most important step for the enterprises to explore market and earn broader space of development. The business negotiation has to deal with not only the economic interests but also the differences on language,belief,life-style,values,and code of conduct, moral standard and psychological diversity. All these factors affect the negotiation process and outcome. How to effectively carry forward the whole negotiation process and promote both parties to reach agreement? An interpreter plays a very important role to advance the communication and opinion exchange.Interpretation is a vital yet hard task with great uncertainty and challenges. The quality of the interpretation determines the result of the business negotiation to some extent. So it is necessary to study business negotiation interpreting. This thesis takes an outdoor company’s 2016 business negotiation as an example.Based on the author’s recording and recall, she cites some typical cases to analyze, and summarizes the workable coping strategies for business negotiation interpretation based on Skopos theory such.as fuzzy expressions, logic explicitation and cross-culture communication.Meanwhile,it also offers suggestions on MTI education including curriculum provision, practice and assessment. But due to the limitation of the study, the effectiveness of these coping strategies in a larger sampling size is yet to be examined. The author is hoping to arouse the interests of more scholars to study the business negotiation interpretation and foster more talent to meet the demand of globalization process.
