The Study On C.S.Lewis′S Proof Of The God From Prior Humanity

C.S.Lewis’s proof of the God is the core of Lewis’s whole apologetic and theological system.And also it’s the basis of the study on Lewis’s apologetics,literary criticism and fantasy literature.With the starting point of Lewis’s apologetic text,the purpose of this paper is to summarize the main thoughts of three arguments in Lewis’s proof of the God system.Then On the base of these,the paper will point out the logical clue from rejecting Argument from Design to returning to humanity itself and the proof’s essence of prior humanity.Except for a brief introduction to C.S.Lewis and relevant research about his God proof theories,the first chapter contains the illustration to significance and innovation of the subject,and the analysis of some important concepts.The second,third and fourth chapter will introduce Lewis’s three main arguments in God proof system.They are the Argument from Reason,Argument from Morality and Argument from Desire.These three arguments separately embody Lewisian arguments investigation to philosophical problem of Truth,Goodness and Beauty.The Argument from Reason chapter,will start from Lewis’s rejection to Naturalism to illustrate the contradiction between the belief of knowledge existence and Naturalism.Knowledge exist means the capacity of valid reasoning whose final reason is the God exist.In the chapter Argument from Morality,I will start from Lewisian Morality to analyze the characters of morality,from which the route Lewis proof the God from human morality will be exhibited.The fourth chapter Argument from Desire,focusing on the main concept Joy,will analyze the Joy experience in Lewis life.And with that start,how Lewis proof the existence of transcendent with method of induction will be revealed.The last chapter is analysis of Lewisian arguments logical clue and essence.On the basis of above three chapters,it comes to the conclusion that Lewis’s proof has a transition from outside to inside,from the God’s creation to humanity itself and the essence of Lewis proof is the Argument from Prior Humanity.This essence not only concerns elements of contemporary philosophy,but also concerns the thinking of philosophical problem in Truth,Goodness and Beauty.
