Coniousness Of Death Study In Su Tong's Novel

Death-awareness is the eternal subject in the literary works expression,also the most controversial conceptions in the field of literature research.Su Tong is a renowned contemporary novelist.In his works,it is describes many individual and spirit death,and depicts many images of death symbolization since 1980 s.By analyzing images and symbolization of these characters,we can searching the aesthetic values and the thoughts of inside connotation in his works,and thus help to deeply understand and grasp the quintessence on his fiction.The first part of this research systemically explains the theory meanings about death consciousness,and clarifies its presentation in modern and contemporary literature.The second part searches the rich meaning about death conscious by analyzing images and symbolization in his works.The third one is analysing the images of dead dog and dead chicken in “Wives and Concubines”and “Gardening”.The fourth section is analysis the cause of death consciousness by his individual chracters,life experinces and external influence.
