As a famous Victorian woman writer,George Eliot is very concerned about the situation and fate of women in this period. From her description of the female characters,we can see the self-awakening and self-affirmation based on the female position, and we can see the rational mind of the intellectuals on the female situation and the fate of the sober recognition. It can be said that George Eliot's feminist concept is full of contradiction, and this contradiction shows the uniqueness of her female consciousness. In this paper, the three works of The Mill on the Floss?Romola and Middlemarch are taken as examples, combined with the French psychoanalyst Lacan's mirror theory,to analyze George Eliot 's novels of feminist conception. The whole article, except the introduction and epilogue, has three chapters. The first chapter starts from the female image of the works.Based on the mirror theory, the author through the mirror recognition analyzes the process of constructing the self of the three women of Maggie,Romola and Dorothea.Pointing out that they did not escape the fate, which is from the rebellious to compromise. The second chapter analyzes the causes of women's compromise.First of all,to analyze the difficult situation of women. In male-centered society, women in marginal status, they have no chance enter the field of knowledge,in the relationship between men and women, women are in a passive position.Secondly,to analyze the unconscious choice by the women, that is under the influence of mainstream gender awareness. Finally, pointed out that, driven by external forces, women formed an internalization of the mirror, this internalization caused a greater degree of compromise on women. The third chapter discusses the female consciousness of George Eliot.First, through the comparison with the 19 British women writers Jane Austen,Charlotte Bronte and Emily Bronte,This paper points out the unique female image in George Eliot's novels, that is,their resistance is negative, hidden, restrained. In the confrontation with men, they neither get fantastic equality nor get an idealized victory. This is also a unique feminine consciousness of Eliot.Secondly, from the times and the author's unique life experience and thoughts of three aspects,to explore the reasons why George Eliot's unique feminine consciousness is formed, and combined with works, point out that Eliot's female consciousness is also a image in the mirror.
