Modernity Speculations Of Contemporary Chinese Dance Creation

In this paper,taking Chinese contemporary dance creation from 2000 to 2015 as sample,do deeper investigation and dissection for the word “modern” respectively from history,present,macro and micro perspective.Above all,do summary and speculation for the meaning and connotation of modern.2000-2015 is an important period of modernization of Chinese dance,and also is the important stage that the word “modern” is refined and promoted.Therefore,the research about it is not only beneficial to help us tease the modernistic venation of Chinese dance creation,but also enlighten the future development of the direction of the Chinese dance creation from the historical perspective.The study of the paper is divided into four major directions.First,it is the speculative modernity.At first,should understand what is modern,as well as the definition and characteristic of modern from the level of knowledge.The author states his opinions for the background,definition and characteristics of modern and its embodiment in art from the standpoint of modern aesthetics and art.Second,after sorting out the roots of modern and venation,apply it into the specific practice.A case study of 15 years Chinese contemporary dance(“contemporary” refers to the time dimension,not style).The author combines the level of knowledge from different types,different styles of dance,explores the artist’s understanding of “modern” and use,as well as leads to speculative modernity from it.Third,offer certain criticism and consideration for the Chinese dance creation problems that existing in the transformation of modernity,besides,expound what is modern.Forth,“where is the road”.Combining the modernistic characteristic of Chinese contemporary dance with the speculative result from it,outlines the impact of the modern,analyzes the function of modern and explores the meaning of “modern” dance.In short,the word “modern” is given more new explanation and misunderstanding because of the business and information wave driven.How to make comprehensive,objective and scientific cognition of the “modern” and “modernity” of dance and how to give accurate position and open-minded thinking,which have a profound significance of Chinese contemporary dance creation research.
