| This translation practice report is based on the tourism text translation project from the practice base of Transn Co.,LTD.The translation project is divided into 10 sub projects according to the geographical areas of the famous tourist cities in China involved in the translation projects.The famous tourist cities that the tourism text covers are Pengzhou,Qionglai,Chengdu,Kunming,Dalian and Lvshun,Qingyang,Linxia,Chenzhou and Yueyang.The tourism text of the translation project has its special characteristics in the aspects of vocabulary,syntax and rhetoric.This report firstly introduces the background,goal and significance of the translation project,the content and characteristics of the tourism text,and then describes the translation process,including the preparation of the translation theory,translation tools and the translation difficulties.The translation difficulties lie in the choice of style,rhetoric,words and sentence structures.The corresponding solution is found under the guidance of the Theory of Text Analysis.The difficulties in the choice of style,rhetoric,words and sentence structures are essentially led by the thinking mode differences between Chinese and English.Thus,from this perspective,the corresponding translation strategies can be put forward by means of analyzing the differences of the thinking modes between Chinese and English.Through this means,the translation can be accepted by the target language readers and the expected function of the tourism text can be realized.Furthermore,the goal of tourism text can be successfully achieved.The last part of the report summarizes that the translation practice should be implemented under the guidance of the translation theory,especially under the guidance of the Theory of Text Analysis.Only in this way can the translation of high quality be obtained.The combination of theory and reader-oriented translation practice can help to improve professional translation quality essentially. |
