Study On The Ethical Relations In Jin Yong's Novels

Ethical relations,as the basic relationship in people's lives,is one of the themes of numerous literary works.For martial arts novels,researchers mostly focus on chivalrous persons,the lawless world or Kungfu,and relatively less study from the perspective of ethic relation.Actually,in martial arts novels,especially Jin Yong's novels,ethical relations not only constitute the significant element of swordsman stories,but also closely relates with the growth of the figures as well as the state of the lawless world and even the pattern of good and evil.This paper,from the perspective of ethical relations,takes Jin Yong's full-length novels as the main object of study.We center on the forms and features of the several kinds of ethic relations and attempt to find a conclusion and explanation and also have an exploration about its function and aesthetics in order to widen the research approach and perspective of Jin Yong's works.This thesis contains three parts :the introduction,the body and the conclusion.The introduction part briefly introduces the research origin of the topic,and reviews the current research situation of Jin Yong's ethical relations,and hereby points out the significance of this research.Then it shows a necessary description of the scope of ethical relations as well as.The body includes four chapters.In the first chapter,the paper introduces the form features of Chinese traditional social ethics at first.On this basis,it conducts a static and dynamic combing and conclusion for the processing modes mainly aiming at the basic ethical relations including the ethic of father and son,the ethic of brotherhood and the ethic of marriage.We tentatively perceive the manifestation forms of the ethic relations in Jin Yong's novels through the combing and conclusion.The second chapter,starting from the holistic view,and in comparison with the works of Liang Yusheng and GuLong,points out the features of the ethical relations which is both traditional and modern.And this feature in the novel for the performance of two aspects,that is,the importance of blood authority and desalination coexist,the individual highlights and restraint coexist.This chapter also explores the reasons from the writer's cultural fusion and features of the martial genre itself.The third chapter discusses the function of ethical relations from both the character and the environment.From the perspective of characters,ethical relations shows the growth of the characters in form and promotes the growth of characters from simple martial arts growth to a variety of promotion.From the perspective of lawless world,ethical relations leds to the lawless worldof the "present" and "hidden",and makes the lawless world appear as two faces.The fourth chapter explores the aesthetic value embodied in the ethical relations in Jin Yong 's novels.First of all,these complex ethical relations present the multiple faces and complex emotions of the characters,and break the boundaries of good and evil.Second,these ethical relations appear as the pursuit of free character which fits the psychology of audience.The third,the representation of ethical relations not only promotes the interaction of the fictional word with real word,but also shows the care of real life.In the end,the part of conclusion makes a summary,and explains the relationship between the great ethics and small ethical relations in the works,as well as reiterates the broad meaning of Jin Yong works.
