| The economy and culture of Song and Jin Dynasty had a great development,there were kilns all over the country.With the progress of porcelain manufacture and the prevalence of incense culture,lots of porcelain censers of this period are unearthed,and the shape of the censers is the most abundant compared with other dynasties.In the history of the development of censer,Song and Jin Dynasty is a shape-finalized phase,which lays the foundation of censer’s shape in later dynasties and most shapes of the censers in Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasty are originated from Song and Jin Dynasty.In addition,under the influence of Confucianism and Taoism,the reform of etiquette system and the retro atmosphere,the porcelain censer of this period formed the unique cultural face and style.Besides,the censer had a more and more close relationship with literatis,so it gradually obtained the quality of elegant culture.This article focuses on the unearthed Porcelain censers of Song and Jin Dynasty and divides the collected materials into twelve types to make pattern analysis,and then constructs the time frame of censer’s development,which contains five periods in specific.After that,the article learns the origin and development of all kinds of censers and finally explores the region distribution,firing kilns,characteristics and functions of the censer.The article is divided into five chapters:Chapter 1 describes the background of the prevalence of porcelain censer from politics,economy,culture and social customs and then introduce the unearthed situation in China.Chapter 2 lists and introduces the glazing color of censer.Chapter 3 divides the unearthed materialsinto twelve types to make pattern analysis,and then divides the censers of Song and Jin Dynasty into five periods and concludes the characteristics of each period.Chapter 4 explores the origin and development of all kinds of censers.Chapter 5 analyzes the region distribution and firing kilns of several types of censers which are unearthed in large quantities.Then focuses on exploring the style and the function of porcelain censer and the social life of Song and Jin Dynasty reflected by the censer. |
