The Creation Research Of Chinese New Generation’s Science Fiction

The science fiction writers of the New Generation in China gradually appear in front of the public because of the "three body heat" in recent years.But in the field of science fiction,the New Generation has not been able to obtain an overall evaluation.This paper focuses on the generational differences,analyzes the differences between the writers of the New Generation and the writers of " the Golden Generation" represented by Ye Yonglie,Zheng Wenguang,Liu Xingshi and the other and summarizes the themes and aesthetic style of the New Generation on the basis of the close reading of the works.Then,in the framework of the development of Chinese science fiction,we can correctly understand the value and significance of the New Generation.The New Generation’s creation has broken through the traditional opinion that the purpose of science fiction is to popularize scientific knowledge or science fiction is just written for low-aged people,and then revealed the writer’s opinion to return to science fiction itself.The New Generation’s writers look at our lives in a new perspective and observe reality in a non realistic way of thinking.Unlike the science fiction writers of the 1980 s,the science fiction writers of the New Generation are no longer merely optimistic about the development of science and technology.They begin to explore the ethical risks of science and technology in their works.Although science fiction is incompatible with the "Chinese story" apparently,the writers of the New Generation have the impulse to create the Chinese science fiction.They show their strong trust in Chinese stories in their works and write science fiction in the form of “old tales retold”.As a group,it is evident that the New Generation is very different from the "Golden Generation".The New Generation free the shackles of "political correctness",put more energy into science fiction itself and show their understanding of science fiction in the creative practice.Under the concept of " the New Generation",the writers also have their own aesthetic characteristics.The writers of the New Generation construct a complex world about science fiction:Liu Cixin’s grand and unrestrained exterior space,Wang Jinkang’s moral space intertwined good and evil,Han Song’s spectral and weird underground world and so on.They show a clear sense of individual existence in writing and construct a pluralistic aesthetic space.Due to the efforts of the New Generation,the Chinese science fiction has achieved a great-leap-forward development.The Three Body Problem,Fold Beijing and other science fiction have received unprecedented attention.However,the development of Chinese science fiction is still difficult after the extinction of the three body heat.How to achieve further development in the plight of the New Generation need to be considered still.
