A Report On The Interpretation Of HACCP Project For Food Additive Stevioside

Practice is the most important part in learning interpreting,only through that,can interpreters continuously improve their own professional quality and skills,and also get further understanding of translation theory.This report is derived from an application project for stevioside production by a food company.In this project,I worked as a liaison interpreter.Due to its confidentiality,here I hide the details of this company as well as its confidential information.This report is written according to analysis and discussion from the point of HACCP project interpretation.Firstly,this report will respectively introduce stevioside and HACCP system,and also give more information about background,task and meaning of this project.Then,it will also briefly introduce the preparation work that I had made,including knowing about HACCP system and production process of stevioside,learning and memorizing related words and terms,and communicating with company leaders.After that,I make some case analysis and discuss some translation strategies that I have used,such as amplification,omission,restructuring,conversion,etc.Finally,I analyze problems that exist in this interpreting task,and also make a summary for it.I hope this report can make a contribution for other interpreters to make deeper understanding in stevioside HACCP project interpretation,and improve their own quality and level.
