A Study On The Spatial Narrative Of Xiao Hong ’s Novels

Xiao Hong has her own unique understanding of the novel theory,forming a "Xiao Hong Style" with personal label.In Xiao Hong ’s novels,the narrative and scene description are more important than the character description.Xiao Hong no longer pay attention to the causal form of the novel,but to the background of the environment clues to the structure of the novel,which bring the neglect of the time series and the emphasis on the spatial sequence in the novel.Xiao Hong ’s novels have obvious spatiality,mainly in both content and form.In the content,Xiao Hong’s novel is directly to a certain space as a topic.There is also a lot of space and space scenes in the novels that are not named in space.Xiao Hong’s space is mostly with the obvious geographical characteristics of the northeast of the earth,the northeast of the country and the city there is a morbid social culture.In the form,Xiao Hong novel space in various forms,there are "life and death field" of the chain type,"Hulan River Biography" of the orange petal type.The diversity of space comes from the use of various spatial narrative strategies,the repetition of spatial imagery,the conversion of different narrative perspectives,and the desalination of narrative time.The content and form of space makes the novel to form a unique aesthetic characteristics,the reader in the novel to accept reading to get a different aesthetic experience.The spatial narrative of the readers’ participation in the novel plays an important role in the narrative of the space narration of the novel.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,briefly introduces the research situation of space narration of Xiao Hong’s novels.The second part is the presentation of narrative space in Xiao Hong’s novels.The third part is "Xiao Hong novel in the spatial narrative structure",selected Xiao Hong several important works to explore the spatial characteristics of Xiao Hong novels.The fourth part is "the significance of space narrative in Xiao Hong’s novels",and discusses the aesthetic significance of space narration in Xiao Hong’s novels,and the influence of readers on reading.
