| Globalization has brought great changes to the world.People’s lifestyle has thus been changed and more and more people are beginning to invest.In the past,the middle-aged with good economic status were dominant in investment.However,now an increasing number of young people come to plan their investment.Among the types of investment,stock investment is most popular.Because of the high risks for stock investment,many people hold that it should not be advocated.But for millennial people,investment is of great significance.There are two major reasons.First,China is coming to the age of aging,millennial people are faced with growing pressure.Second,globalization has brought about unprecedented stock investment opportunities for young people.Based on these reasons,I chose Millennial Money: How Young Investors Can Build Fortune,written by Patrick O’Shaughnessy,an American author.This book describes the difficulties and challenges which millennial will encounter in the following decades.It focuses on the investment strategies and the required qualities for young investors.Different from the other parallel texts,the book provides many understandable and available strategies and analysis of the stock market.I co-translate this book with other two students.This book includes ten chapters and I translate the fifth and sixth chapters,about 12,000 words.This report consists of three parts.The first part introduces the background and analyzes the source text,including why I and my partners chose it as the source text.The second part involves the parallel texts.The Intelligent Investors and Wisdom of Stock Investment are the two parallel texts I will use.It also includes the difficulties and solutions I have encountered in the process of translation.Besides,the control-quality and related translation strategies are involved with case studies. |
