Nowadays,what the world is most concerned about is no more than the environmental problem.With the development of people’s living standard,they begin to attach great importance to their own living environment step by step.But what concerns the general public most should be the problem of air pollution.With the rapid development of the Chinese economy,what current China is faced with is the serious air pollution and the solution to the air pollution is the most pressing problem,the way that post-war Japan is faced with the puzzle of air pollution.Now the Chinese situation is much similar to that of Japan then.Hence the paper analyzes the reasons for the successful solution to the Japanese air pollution by making a comparative study of the the solution to Sino-Japanese curbing air pollution and hopes that the research can play a significant role in curbing the Chinese air pollution.The paper falls into four parts:The preface includes the research results of analyzing both the Chinese and Japanese solution to the environmental protective policies and gives an elaborate account of the research aim and purpose of the paper.Besides,the paper also gives a simple explanation to the the steps and procedure of both the analysis and research steps.The first chapter mainly deals with the Japanese research on the solution to the environmental protection.First,it analyses the Japanese state of environmental protection followed by the research on the procedure of environmental protection to have a better understanding of how Japan used to undergo the process of environmental protection.Then,the analysis of the policies concerned adopted to curb the air pollution by the Japanese government.It is given an elaborate account of mainly in three aspects.Legally,an analysis is conducted of the outline of the<Laws on the Prevention of Curbing Air Pollution.Next,it gives an account of how to manage and monitor the air pollution.And lastly it conducts an analysis of the popularization of the Japanese self-awareness of environmental protection.The second chapter,which is similar to the first one,mainly analyzes the measures taken to curb the air pollution concerning the environmental state and process of the environmental protective policies.The third chapter is concerned with the comparative study of the Sino-Japanese environmental policies.First,by contrast,it clarifies the similarities and the differences of the Sino-Japanese environmental measures.The differences lie in four aspects:the background differences of the environmental protection,the differences in making laws concerned,the ones in the results of executing laws and the national character followed by the reasons for the differences.The differences in geographical settings and population,economic power as well as the awareness of environmental protection are here to stay between China and Japan.In conclusion,summary of similarities and differences concerning the environmental protection between China and Japan and it clarifies the reasons for the differences in the environmental protection between China and Japan and a further understanding of the environmental measures of both countries.It is hoped that the paper can make its own contribution to the comparative study of the environmental measures of both China and Japan.
