| In recent years,with the improvement of our nation’s international status and the wide spread of Chinese culture in the world,there are more and more foreign students coming to study in China.The proportion of master and doctoral students is also increasing.Therefore,Chinese teaching for foreign graduate students has become a focus of our attention.But the domestic and overseas researches have always been focusing on Chinese classroom teaching,preparatory Chinese teaching and professional Chinese teaching,there’s only small amount of research on public Chinese class teaching,which is even less on graduates public Chinese class teaching.This paper investigates and analyzes the current situation of public Chinese teaching in colleges and universities,puts forward some reasonable suggestions for the teaching contents,teaching materials and teachers’ construction of the public Chinese class teaching for foreign graduate students in China,and finally find the most suitable strategies aiming to improve students’ Chinese level and learning effect in the professional field.The paper is divided into five parts:The first part,it elaborates the reason of the topic selection,the research significance,the research content and the methods.And it also simply summarizing the domestic and foreign research results.The second part,the major study and research by the non-language foreign graduate students in China determines the different characteristics between public Chinese course and foreign Chinese major students’ course.Considering the aspects of requirements of our government scholarship program,the basis of professional study by the students and completing Graduate student training system,it is necessary to set up a public Chinese course for foreign graduate students in China.The third part,it conducts a survey of public Chinese course in several aspects like the purpose and significance of the survey,the subjects and methods of the investigation,and the design and questionnaire implementation,etc.The fourth part,in order to obtain the fundamental basis for the study of public Chinese course of foreign graduate students in China,the statistical analysis is conducted according to the survey results of learning attitude,learning needs,attitudetowards teaching materials,teaching methods and teachers construction.In the fifth part,through the statistics and analysis of the public Chinese course survey of graduate students in China,it is found that the course has not received enough attention by the students who are usually lack of initiative,and that the teaching content is old and lack of innovation.It suggests building a reasonable and strict assessment mechanism and puts forward some corresponding solutions to improve students’ learning initiative and expand the scope of the course of choice by paying attention to the cross of knowledge and reasonable updating. |
