Research On Art Characteristics Of Hellenistic From Pergammon-altar Cameo

In the history of world civilization,the Hellenistic period has a very important position.After the collapse of the Alexander empire,the Hellenistic state shows a state of disintegration,the chaos of the war makes the cultural development of this period present a plural characteristics.This is particularly evident in the works of the Hellenistic period,and the Pergamon-Altar is an outstanding representative in this period.Pergamon-Altar is famous for carved "the gods of Olympus and the giant war" on the base,and the story is so majestic and sad.The contents of the Pergamon-Altar are not only a continuation of the Greek classical culture,but also an acronym for the cultural characteristics of the entire Hellenistic era,also a portrayal of the pain of the Hellenistic era.This paper begins with the artistic characteristics of the Pergamon-Altar,the society characteristics,the cultural characteristics and religious beliefs of the society,to analyze the artistic characteristics of the Hellenistic period embodied in the Pergamon-Altar.The reasons for this artistic characteristics and the spirit of the Hellenistic age reflected by the Pergamon-Altar are discussed.
