| A result was shown that the most backward students had poor learning adaptability by having access to a large number of backward students in the author’s ten years of teaching career。Zhou Bucheng’s "Learning Adaptation Test"(AAT)was used to investigate 115 junior high school students(57 of excellent students and 58 of backward students)in Chengdu Pidu District Garden School.The survey was shown that excellent students were superior to backward students in learning attitude,learning skills,learning environment and physical and mental health.In order to explore the further reasons for the poor adaptability of backward students,the questionnaires were designed according to the survey results for typical excellent students,backward students,some parent representatives of excellent students and backward students,some excellent rural teachers and headmasters.Strategic recommendations were given to improve learning adaptability for the backward students in rural junior middle school from four perspectives of students,parents,teachers and schools.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Excellent students have a significantly higher scores in learning attitude,learning technology,learning environment and physical and mental health,and it indicates that excellent students have a better learning adaptability than backward students.(2)Compared with the excellent students,the main reasons for the poor learning adaptability of the backward students are lacking of clear learning plan,learning methods,and learning independence.(3)Compared with the parents of excellent students,the parents of backward students have no planning consciousness,no purposeful guidance for their children’s learning,no effective supports,no initiative to participate in education and no awareness of education responsibility.(4)The main reasons for the poor learning adaptability and lacking of parental education of backward students are the lack of learning habits and parental education awareness,and it needs more time and energy from teachers.(5)Although the schools have taken some measures to focus on backward students,but it needs more specific requirements,strong guidance and supervision.Finally,strategic recommendations were given to improve learning adaptability for the backward students in rural junior middle school from four perspectives of students,parents,teachers and schools. |
