| China’s 21st century rapid economic growth,vast improvements in its international status,as well as emergence of new policies and innovations,led to a more frequent cooperation and exchange within various fields amongst China and countries from all over the world.As a result,this current situation has attracted more international students to seek China for higher education with the purpose of being engaged in various business activities.Therefore,over the past decade,Business Chinese language teaching,including relevant textbooks’ development has expanded its horizon and set a new stage.Business culture is an extremely important aspect in all sorts of international business activities.Numerous research papers demonstrate,that the deep understanding of the business culture is incredibly critical and shouldn’t be neglected.Correspondingly,the Business Chinese textbooks developments’ focus has also shifted towards the Chinese Business Culture textbooks.However,judging from the current overall market situation,these type of textbooks are still relatively rare and most of the currently existing ones are country-specific.Consequently,there is a lack in Chinese Business Culture textbooks particularly for international students pursuing degree in China.It is also important to note that currently there are very few studies regarding analysis and evaluation of Chinese Business Culture textbooks.Therefore,this thesis aims to focus on Chinese Business Culture textbooks’analysis and assessment,summarizing compilation rationale and structure of the framework for these type of textbooks.In addition,one of the more representative Chinese Business Culture textbook has been chosen,in order to conduct a current usage research,where through the teachers’ and students’ questionnaires and interviews data analysis it summarizes main currently existing advantages and drawbacks.Finally,combining with the own teaching practice of the "Chinese Business Culture" course in Zhejiang University and lesson plans,development,this thesis provides a summary of own compilation rationale and compilation strategies for the Chinese Business Culture textbooks.Hoping,that this brief research can become a valuable reference for the future Chinese Business Culture textbooks’ development. |
