The national characteristics of a country can be reflected by its language.Cultural words hold a very important position in Chinese International Education and HSK.From the current researches,there are few studies on Chinese cultural words to distinguish different countries and cultural circles.Students in the Chinese characters circles and the non-Chinese culture circles are with different understandings of the Chinese culture and different abilities to accept Chinese language knowledge,therefore,a comparative study on the acquisition of cultural words of overseas students based on different cultural circles needs to be carried out.This paper is composed of five chapters:The first chapter introduces the origin,the purpose and the significance of the study and the content and method of the research as well as the current research status in academic field.The second chapter chooses to use the three syllabuses outlines such as The Graded Chinese Syllables,Character and Words for the application of Teaching Chinese to the speakers of other languages,New Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus and International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education,which are both instructive and authoritative in Chinese international education.The cultural words which are highly presented in the three books are studied as the object of this paper.In the third chapter,cultural words are selected to be made into a questionnaire.Overseas students who are at junior and senior levels(HSK>4)are the respondents of the questionnaire.The questionnaires collected will be classified according to Chinese cultural circle and non-Chinese cultural circle.The fourth chapter analyzes the data according to the statistics in the previous chapters and puts forward suggestions on teaching and learning in accordance with the characteristics of students in different cultural circles.According to the research results of the above chapters,the fifth chapter designs the teaching cases of cultural words acquisition of overseas students in different cultural circles.
