| Teaching Chinese as a foreign language,with language and culture teaching in an unbalanced state,requires more attention and emphasis on courses related to cultural teaching.The cultural symbols of traditional Chinese festivals carry the unique spiritual connotations and values of the Chinese nation,and are an important carrier of cultural transmission.The use of traditional festival cultural symbols,which highly condense the spirit of China,for cultural teaching is conducive to Chinese learners’ deep appreciation and grasp of Chinese culture,and enhances their interest in learning Chinese culture.Using the methods of comparative analysis and summary and induction,this paper firstly compares The Framework of Reference for Chinese Culture and Society in International Chinese Language Education and Ning Jiming’s edition of China Profile,and conducts a survey and analysis of the current situation of teaching festival culture to international students who have studied Ning Jiming’s edition of China Profile;Secondly,based on the comparison and survey and research analysis,it is found that in the process of teaching festival culture Secondly,based on the comparison and research analysis,it is found that there is still an imbalance between theoretical and practical teaching,programmatic and in-depth cultural teaching,and different and common teaching,and in this regard,a strategy of using cultural symbols as a medium to teach Chinese traditional festival culture is proposed.Finally,the paper presents the expected results of using cultural symbols to teach the culture of the Chinese New Year festival.Symbols in traditional Chinese festival culture contain important semantic meanings.In Chinese as a foreign language,making full use of the symbols of festival culture,studying their meanings,connecting them with the core values of modern society,and constantly innovating can help Chinese culture resonate with the world in the latest and meaningful manner. |
