Preliminary Study On The Form Of Modern Japanese Picture Books

Chinese word “Huiben” originated from Japan and consisted of “painting” and“text”.It is a kind of book which is based on painting and supplemented by text,and it has made a close combination of them in order to convey information or feelings.Modern Japanese picture book enjoys reputation in the world.It has accumulated more experience and methods than that of Chinese,which was started later.Researched by literature summarization and contrastive analysis,this paper has mainly illustrated basic elements of picture book,the picture book from ancient Japan to modern Japan and the form changes of modern picture book.Through the interpretation and analysis of modern Japanese picture book,I hope to know about origin and development of Japanese picture book,to trace to the source of Chinese and Japanese picture books,and to explore something in Japanese picture book that can be absorbed and studied by Chinese original picture book.
