As an important aesthetic category in Chinese traditional culture, the image is an important constituent element of Chinese traditional art,and it is also an important criterion for judging artistic creation. Thus the famous scholar Ye Lang put forward the "beauty in the image" aesthetic proposition. In the literary and artistic creation of the past, the flower is a very common cultural practice, and the lotus is an important part in the image of these flowers. In ancient times, people have very special feelings for the lotus, fine study of their ideological roots, and our traditional culture of Buddhism,Taoism,Confucianism and culture have a very deep relationship. In the traditional literary and artistic creation of our country, the image of lotus has many portraits in different art categories, and these different aesthetic images can be divided into five types. This paper mainly explores the aesthetic image of lotus in Chinese traditional culture. The first chapter mainly elaborates the ideological and cultural foundation of the formation of the lotus image, and analyzes its original cultural connotation.Buddhism on the religious concept of the lotus, affecting the later for the Lotus religious beliefs.Taoism on the image of the image of the lotus has been influenced by Buddhism, and Taoist advocacy of the concept of nature also affected the people as a natural view of the scenery.Confucian ethic spirit of the unique ritual, for the Lotus Bide concept laid the ideological foundation. In the Tang Dynasty, due to the influence of the integration of the three religions, the ideological connotation of the aesthetic image of the lotus also showed a staggered state. The second chapter discusses the aesthetic imagery of lotus, and examines the concrete practice and historical development of the lotus image from three aspects: ancient literature, ancient painting and ancient arts and crafts. In the traditional Chinese literature, the "Songs of the Songs" and "The Songs of the South" have become the important source of the image of the late Lotus image, which has contributed to the metaphorical tradition of the later generations for women and gentlemen. The lotus in ancient paintings was first influenced by Buddhism, but the lotus was only a religious additional symbol. In the independence of the flower and bird painting, the lotus received a relatively independent aesthetic image status. And craft art in the lotus ornaments, then far from the bronze age,in the Han Dynasty architecture also to performance. Both are built in the traditional aesthetic of the original type of decoration. After the introduction of Buddhism, the Buddhist mural appeared in the religious meaning of the lotus decoration. The third chapter distinguishes five types of aesthetic images from the abstract level and explores the aesthetic implication contained therein. The natural form of lotus constitutes the natural image of lotus, and further becomes the basis of other aesthetic images.Because of the daily scene of the female lotus activities, lotus gradually won the metaphor for women, and further developed into a love image. The image of the gentleman in Qu Yuan 's "Lament" has shown a budding state,in the future of the Neo-Confucianism than the concept of Germany, and ultimately the formation of the "gentleman" personality beauty. The religious image of the lottery is largely due to the introduction of Buddhism, and Taoism has also contributed to this image, both of which promote the position of the lotus in religious belief. The image of the decay of the lotus appears at the latest, which is based on the natural decline of the lotus, and is associated with the aging of metaphorical women, and eventually becomes an independent aesthetic image type, showing a sentimental beauty.
