A Comparative Study On The Omission And Appearance Of Attribute Marker Between Chinese And Vietnamese

Since the middle of the twentieth century,the study on the omission and appearance of attributive marker in Chinese has been receiving much attention.Although there are pretty detailed analysis and study on the omission and appearance of structural auxiliary word “的” in academic field of Chinese grammar,but the comparative research between Chinese and Vietnamese is very seldom.The law of omission and appearance of attributive marker in Chinese and Vietnamese that is very complex.This causes Vietnamese students are hard to master “的” and esay to make errors.These errors stem from the differences of attribute-head phrase,semantic relation type,the order of attributive,the form of attributive marker.We think that it should be pertinently to make a comparative study.This article is based on syntax semantics,apply the basic theory of cognitive linguistics and grammatical semantics,use the specific methods of comparative study,description and axplanation combined method.Through this comparative study to find the law of omission and appearance of attributive marker in Chinese and Vietnamese and reveal its generality and difference,compare the formation of attribute-head phrase,semantic relation type,the order of attributive,the form of attributive marker,the omission and appearance of attributive marker in Chinese and Vietnamese.We found that : Syntactically,the differences of semantic relation type that leads to make differences in the omission and appearance of attributive marker.Semantically,the omission and appearance of attributive marker in Chinese and Vietnamese related to descriptive and restrictive attribution.From the principles of cognitive linguistic,the omission and appearance of attributive marker is determined by the constraints of cognitive factors.Dependence on the regularity of attribution,but this regularity nature depends on the relationship between attributes and things in the cognitive mode of two nationalities.In addition,the nominalization marker in verb modifier noun structure is also the reason for the difference between Chinese and Vietnamese markers.This thesis consists of 5 chapters:Chapter 1: Introduction:Firstly,expound the research objective,significance,contents,theory and methods.;introduce the corpus sources.Secondly,summary the current research.Chapter 2: Compare attribute-head phrase between Chinese and Vietnamese:Firstly,we describes respectively the formation of attribute-head phrase.On this basis,we compare he order of attributive.Secondly,according to the modification effect of attributive to center word,we describes and compare respectively semantic relation type between Chinese and Vietnamese.Chapter 3: Compare the omission and appearance of attributive marker between Chinese and Vietnamese:Firstly,describes and analysis respectively the appearance of attributive marker,the hidden of attributive marker,the appearance and hidden of attributive marker in Chinese and Vietnamese.Secondly,we use the contrasting method to find out the similarities and differences.Chapter 4: The explanation of similarities and differences: From the aspects of cognitive linguistics,grammar,semantics,pragmatics,syllable rhythm to seek the right theory in order to explain similarities and differences in the law of the omission and appearance of attributive marker between Chinese and Vietnamese.Chapter 5: Conclusion:make a summary of the main views of the whole research and put forward the research deficiencies and prospected.
