Research On The Development Of Chinese Netizen Under A Changing Era

As the era of Internet comes, Internet is changing our life as well as our society. We have witnessed a rocketing development of Internet since China fully accessed into it in 1994, thanks to the policy of reforming and opening and the development of technology. Now we are under a shift from fixed Internet to mobile Internet. To research the features of the netizen demography in such a background will not only serve the development of the economy and society, but also provide related proofs for further research in Internet demography.This paper is based on the changes of Internet and the development of our netizens. First, the development of technologies is closely related to the development of netizens, so we reviewed the technological background of the development of Chinese netizens, and compared the different features of netizens in fixed Internet and mobile Internet. Thus we elaborated how important the rise of mobile Internet is to the development of netizens, and how the changes of Internet affect Chinese netizens.Next, we analyzed the scale, distribution and structure features of Chinese netizens in different Internet ages with quantitative analysis methods, and analyzed the causes, possible consequences and the future of these features systematically.Finally, with the results of our study in the background and features of netizens, we proposed three strategies to tackle the problems of digital gap, information authorities and cyber security.
