High level of government credibility is an important prerequisite for the government to carry out public management. In recent years, with the Internet, Internet of things, cloud computing, big data and other new generation of information technology widely used, since the media is increasingly becoming an important platform for public access to information, comments and opinions. Since the development of media, not only changed the public participation in public life, at the same time, on the government information dissemination media pluralism and complicated, to the credibility of the government to build bring great opportunities and challenges. Under the background of the media age, the research on the credibility of the government is of great practical significance.This paper is under the background of governance theory, the principle of the use of a cooperative network management. Through the analysis from the media, government and the public interaction, the use of literature analysis, case analysis, comparative analysis, from both positive and negative aspects of the analysis from the influence of media on the credibility of the government.According to the impact from the two aspects of the media, this paper puts forward the government to use self countermeasures to enhance the credibility of the media, namely: the government should grasp the opportunities in the media age, to enhance the credibility of the environment; at the same time, we should strengthen the self the full range of media management, make it become an important platform for the credibility of the government's promotion.
