The Study Of Shanxi's Female School Education In The Early Of Republic Of China(1912—1937)

Shanxi's female school education started at the end of Qing dynasty and became mature in the early of the Republic of China as the new things in the modern socirty. The years from 1912 to 1937 is a very important historical period of continuity, but also the period that Shanxi's female school education enter to perfect from childish.According to the investigation of the development track,regional distribution, the number of school students, study courses, the funds for teaching about the Shanxi's female school education in the early of the Republic of China, we analyzed the impact on Shanxi's education, social atmosphere and woman's movement,etc.This article consists of four parts to discuss this topic.The first part made the retroactivity investigation about the initial and the development of Shanxi's female school education before the beginning of the Republic of China. We clarified it in few aspects, such as the introduction of church, the rise of female ideological trend and the establishment of female education's legal status.The second part includes three chapters,each one can be individual and connect with each other either. Entire part makes up the full views of the development of the early Shanxi's female school education. The second chapters mainly investigate the developing situation through two periods that the female preschool education and the female primary school education in the early Republic of China. The third chapter mainly discuss the develop situation of Shanxi's female medium education bt taking Shanxi' middle education, teacher education and vocational education as research objects. The fourth chapter mainly analyze the situation of theimplementation process of Shanxi's female high education and recruit student by taking Shanxi university and other shanxi universities as main body.In addition, there is the case study in the end of each chapter, which deeply investigate the detailed shanxi's female school education by reflecting common in the character and outstanding individual in common.The third part discussed the effect of Shanxi's female school education in the early of the Republic of China through three angles that woman's liberation movement, the transition of the society and the development of the national democratic movement. It mainly shows that the development of woman's school education promoted the Tianzu movement and woman's economic independence,strike the traditional view of woman, promoted the change of woman's apparel, inspired the woman in the democratic revolution and the enthusiasm in participating in the national movement.The final conclusion part summarizes the characteristics and the distribution of the early women's school education in Shanxi Province from vertical and horizontal and has carried on the overall evaluation of the Republic of China, but also it affirmed the achievements of shanxi's girls' school education at that time and produce positive significance, and points out its existing problems and the insufficiency.
