In 1977,our country resumed the college entrance examination,and in 1984,English became the subject of college entrance examination,since then,the reform of the college entrance examination in English had been carried on,and it had gradually become the focus of attention.In 2013,all parts of the country intended to reform the college entrance examination,English became the first course of the reform,which got people's universal concern,and all kinds of views,opinions and discussions followed by.So the research on the reform of English college entrance examination is particularly important.In September 2014,the Ministry of Education published “the State Council on Deepening the Reform of Examination and Enrollment System Implementation Opinions”.It explicitly mentioned that putting forward proposals for the reform of college entrance examination and the comprehensive implementation of quality-oriented education in the process of reform,linking up the English college entrance examination reform and quality-oriented education,which emphasized the guiding role of the quality-oriented education in the reform of English college entrance examination.Research on the English college entrance examination reform under the concept of quality-oriented education,it has important socialvalue for society,that is the promotion of social fairness and justice;for the subject of education,it also has personal value,that is to promote the comprehensive development and personality development of students.The reform of English college entrance examination will undoubtedly lead the reform of middle school English teaching,adopt a more scientific and reasonable way to select talents,and promote the further implementation of quality-oriented education.There are lots of current studies that focus on the reform of the English college entrance examination.This paper is based on these studies,and it uses literature analysis method,empirical research method and historical research method,etc.,with the instruction of the concept of quality-oriented education,to analyze the reform of English college entrance examination and to emphasize the leading function of quality-oriented education theory on the reform of English college entrance examination.And this paper strives to make the English examination truly reflect the quality-oriented education theory.This paper consists of five parts: the first part is the exordium,it explains the importance and temporal spirit of this research from aspects of the presentation of questions,purpose and significance of the topic,research methods and research trends;the second part is about the basic problems associated with quality-oriented education,and to explore the relationship with the college entrance examination system;the third part reviews the historical process of the college entrance examination system and English subject from a historical view,and it mainly analyzes the contents of the newround reform of English college entrance examination: tests will be held several times a year and it will have social examinations.Affirming the superiority of the reform,and anglicizing the problems and deficiencies of the reform combined with the empirical research;and then in the forth part,it reflects the leading role of the concept of quality-oriented education in English college entrance examination reform from the views of the examination,the examination contents,examination reform principles and examination management system which are the requirements of quality-oriented education;the fifth part is the proposals and prospects of deepening the reform,this part puts forward with specific suggestions and countermeasures from the aspects on the designing of system and English teaching,and it hopes to promote the further improvement of the English college entrance examination reform,which will lead the English exam to quality-oriented education.The new round reform of English college entrance examination system is still in the exploratory stage,studying on the effect of the reform and other aspects is needed to improve gradually in the practice.This paper tries to put forward suggestions and ideas on the basis of the existing,so as to provide a reference for future research,and to deepen and improve the reform of the college entrance examination of English.
