The implementation of Music Course Standard(2001 version)opens a new chapter for music education history and indicates directions for humanity,aesthetic nature and practicality of music education.To further explore how Music Course Standard(2001 version)brings educational ideas,educational principles,teaching methods,teaching styles to elementary music education,the paper chooses the elementary music education of Fuqu District,Yantai as the study object and uses literature,questionnaire,logic analysis,quantity statistics and other methods for the further exploration.The study results show: some mangers have partial judgment about music course.Although they accept Music Course Standard(2001 version)and music functions as well as values,they have little enthusiasm and motivation towards music course.Quite a few leaders fail to attach importance to music course and support the implementation of music course.Teachers have the improper understanding of Music Course Standard(2001 version)ideas,so there are some disadvantages in the real elementary music education.Various problems exist in the current elementary music education.Students like music but fail to like music education.The current teaching contents fail to meet students' interests.There exist some differences between the elementary music education infrastructure,extracurricular activities of Fuqu District,Yantai and Music Course Standard(2001 version).Its infrastructure is not good.80% of schools have a few or even no music books.84% of schools have no music classrooms.70% of schools hardly ever carry out extracurricular activities on music and so on.For these problems,the study proposes some advice: the elementary education managers need to change their ideas and improve innovative awareness.Only the competent department attaches importance to elementary music education can the elementary music education be emphasized to be good for kids' physical and mental development and coordinate the various factors for the elementary education balanced development.When national government makes greater efforts to enhance elementary music teacher training,provincial teacher training organizations and municipal education commission teaching organizations shall provide various training.Training and reeducation can help improve teachers' ability and expand teachers' knowledge.Music teachers shall be encouraged and guided to carry out education reform and innovation.Especially for mid-term,final-term or year-end assessment,the traditional marking assessment shall be broken to emphasize the quality education assessment and full development of students.For music education,the ideas of “student subject” shall be built.Teachers must be a leader and guider,adopt various flexible teaching method,create various feelings and art atmosphere,make students involved in class fully and motivate students' strong music learning interests etc.
