Reading ability plays an important role in English learning,and the new curriculum standard emphasizes the teaching goal of cultivating students' reading ability.Reading is an important process for people to acquire information and to develop entertainment and learning.If the secondary vocational school students have a strong ability to read,they can have a certain self-learning ability,so as to create conditions for the future study.Therefore,to enhance the students' reading ability in vocational schools has a positive role in English teaching.At present,the traditional English reading class is boring,and task based teaching emphasizes on the students' participation and the participation of teachers and students,which makes the teaching task more relaxed.Students in learning can also be natural to master the language skills.Rich tasks can help students to improve the ability of comprehensive use of English,and further enhance the awareness of students' autonomous learning and team spirit.This article is the establishment in the task-based teaching model used in Vocational English reading teaching research,through the analysis of the task-based teaching related theoretical basis and characteristics of the task,definition,classification and design principles and from the three aspects of reading teaching,pre reading,reading and reading comprehensive design task teaching mode.At the same time,combined with the practice of task based teaching in the secondary vocational school English reading class,the actual situation of task based teaching mode is analyzed,and the overall design ideas and teaching reform measures are put forward.
